The Art Island is a universally useful piece of art furniture with a double-sided easel, boasting a magnetic blackboard on one side, and a white write-on, wipe-off surface on the rear. At the top, a wooden batten holds a paper roll for artwork that can be saved or taken home. The unit is designed for use with a child working simultaneously on both sides. The wide 'A' frame base has lockable castors to create stability in use, but also provide easy positioning within a classroom or movement to outside when the weather permits. There is storage space below for all sorts of art materials and troughs, at a convenient height, to hold paint pots, brushes, magnetic letters and water. Made from beautiful Greenguard birch plywood with rounded edges finished in highly resistant wipe clean varnish. The unit is a convenient size for any classroom at 620mm wide and 1222mm tall.
